We sincerely apologize to the people living in the threatened area and those suffered great trouble and anxiety as a result of the fire on February 25, 2007 at the Tomakomai Power Plant (Tomakomai City, Hokkaido; Plant manager: Masataka Kurosawa) of Sanix Energy Incorporated (President and CEO: Kozo Inoue), one of our group companies. Since the fire was extinguished, we have been working on restoration toward ensuring prompt resumption of safe operation of the Tomakomai Power Plant under the guidance and supervision of regulatory authorities. The plant restored its operation on June 12.
